A List of Ada Trainers
  • Absolute Software
    Advanced Ada Programming

    Course duration: 5 days
Target Audience: All programmers, designers, and systems engineers.

Overview: Second in a two-part series. Students will learn how Ada 95 supports reuse with generics, concurrency, and domain-specific development, and study syntax and semantics for advanced data typing, generics, tasking, and low-level programming. Prerequisites: "Introduction to Ada 95 Programming" or equivalent.

Absolute Software offers many Ada private courses, including ones for real-time, and public Ada courses. Or go to their home page to see lists of both.

  • AdaCore
Introduction to Ada programming (including Ada 95 features)

    Course duration:
    5 days
Target audience: Programmers with little or no Ada background

This course provides a full introduction to programming in Ada. Classic programming features are discussed, but the emphasis is on Ada's support for constructing modular, portable, and reliable systems. Special attention will be given to presenting the new features of Ada 95 including those supporting object-oriented programming. Students should have a basic grounding in one or more modern programming languages as a prerequisite.

  • AdaSoft, Inc.
    AdaMentor 95TM Web-based Course

    Course duration: 40-60 hours
Target audience: Programmers with little or no Ada background.

AdaMentor 95 is a comprehensive, introductory level course in the revised Ada language. AdaMentor 95 uses the Internet as a virtual classroom that includes extensive learning materials, practice exercises, quizzes and interactive presentations and support for collaboration among an instructor and student peers. Access to AdaMentor 95 is available worldwide from any Internet connection, 24 hours a day.

  • Ada Solutions, Inc.
    Fundamentals of Ada Programming

    Course duration: Two days
Target audience: Programmers with little or no Ada background. Some previous programming experience with a high level language such as C, Pascal, or Fortran is recommended.

This class is an introduction to the Ada language. It provides the basic knowledge needed to read existing Ada code, modify it, and to write new programs for existing compilers.

    Type of Course: Open Enrollment
    Where: Tempe, Arizona
    Duration: 1 Day
Target Audience: Software engineers, manager, and quality assurance engineers interested in learning more about the Ada 95 language. Programming experience and familarity with a high-level programming language are expected.

This course will present the major new features in Ada 95 and how these features relate to Ada's support for data abstraction, information hiding, localization, and modularity. For more information, see DDC-I Offers Course.

  • Software Arts & Sciences
    Embedded/Real-Time Programming in Ada 95

    Course duration: 5 days
Target audience: The ideal student will be fairly familiar with the Ada language, and will have experience in real-time systems development.

This course focuses on the use of Ada in applications in which reliability and timeliness are of utmost importance. Not limited to the tasking facilities for concurrent programming, it takes a detailed, issue-driven exploration of the approaches, advantages, and problems in the use of Ada for real-time systems. Throughout the course, the powerful new facilities of Ada for real-time applications will be examined, including the new user-defined storage management capabilities, RTSE tailoring and the Real-Time and Systems Programming Annexes, which provide direct, integrated support for the timing analysis models examined.

Software Arts and Sciences offers a number of courses on the Ada language, as well as other real-time/embedded topics. See their home page for descriptions.
