    • Cairo & Calcutta Metros

    • European Train Control
What began as a local project in Paris to improve the operation and safety of the railroads in France, has evolved into a Europe wide effort to provide a safe, smoothly run transportation system that will become a symbol of European community.

    • Ship System 2000
In order to create a family of software components that would allow the Swedish Navy to combine assets for many different customers and ship configurations without having to modify existing, tested and dependable code, the software engineers chose to use Ada. This has turned out to be a major success.

    • Trains in Class
"As in a real-life embedded systems project, I was building the hardware while my students were writing the software [in Ada]. I finished the hardware with only four weeks remaining in the semester. But to my amazement, nearly 50 percent of the student teams had their projects working before the end of the semester."

    • GPS
Ada was chosen for the GPS receiver for Space applications in order to ensure reliable and safe software.
